Foria’s lower age limit is 16 years of age.
Our process for people aged 16 and 17 differs from patients who are over 18 and vary by province. Youth aged 16-17 will be required to comply with all applicable regional legislation. Because our services are virtual, we also have some extra paperwork to complete compared to in-person care. A summary of the process is available below. The clinician will go over this process in further detail and answer any questions during the first visit. To book an appointment, visit https://foria-intake.web.app/.

- For youth aged 16 or 17 who have a legal parent or guardian, a signature by their legal parent or guardian (during or shortly after the first visit) and psychologist approval is required. If you don't have a psychologist, Skipping Stone can help arrange your assessment with one. We will refer you to Skipping Stone after your first visit.
- For youth aged 16 or 17 who do not have a legal parent or guardian and are considered capable of making their own medical decisions, a referral to Skipping Stone will be sent after your first visit. Skipping Stone will then review available options.
